While I was not able to watch ROH Best in the World live because my occupational commitments this summer greatly limited internet access, I finally was able to watch the show's replay over the course of two off days. Watching the show 5 weeks later was interesting. I managed to avoid spoilers for the whole show but so much news since the show broke out that it felt rather bizarre to be watching the show now. The Kings of Wrestling are almost guaranteed to be going to the WWE (and Colt Cabana may not be far behind). Homicide and Christopher Daniels have made commitments to other promotions and Kevin Steen had appeared on an Evolve show. Meanwhile, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, Kyle O'Reilly, and Adam Cole have stepped up to near-main event level performers, and Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas have signed contracts and seem to be committed for the relative long haul. So, as uncertain as ROH's future seems to be, their is still potential for future greatness. With that in mind, I watched Ring of Honor's Best in the World, which took place in the famous Hammerstein Ballroom.
